Your support lifts the lives of our single mother families!  The Oak Project depends on donations from individuals, businesses and faith-based organizations to meet the needs of those we serve.  If your heart is touched by the ministry accomplished at the Oak Project, then we ask that you consider making a general donation.  No gift is small and each one is tax deductible.

The Oak Project is an official 501c3 organization.

This fund ensures that the families’ basic needs, including assistance with rent, electricity and food, are secure so crises do not stunt the families’ ability to maintain independence.

BASIC NEEDS

On February 21, 2009, the Oak Project community was rocked as we mourned the sudden loss of lil' Gerald.  He was the son of one of our oakie moms, Nece Bennett (now Nece Perkins).

In his honor, the Little Gerald Education Fund was established. We celebrate as scholarships for CNA training, laptop purchases and college courses were awarded to several Oak Project families to support and further the education of single mothers and their children.

LIL’ GERALD EDUCATION FUND

This fund supports families who are actively working towards independence but otherwise may be at risk of losing employment, housing and education if otherwise unassisted.  In addition to helping with car repairs, the Oak Project takes an additional step by coordinating temporary transportation through volunteers and staff to ensure that work and school do not go unattended.

TRANSPORTATION FUND

This fund helps to facilitate community development that establishes the support system necessary for struggling families to find connection and friendship by coordinating mentoring relationships, tutoring sessions and hosting weekly and monthly group activities.

COMMUNITY BUILDING FUND

The Oak Project is seeking the commitment of consistent monthly or quarterly donors. This financial support allows for the organization to focus on the children and families who are seeking ministry and to pioneer new ministry opportunities like small groups and events that facilitate community building. As the number of consistent monthly donors grow one-by-one, the number of relationships being built at The Oak Project will grow exponentially.

If you have any questions about making a donation, please contact Bobbie Brock, at 423-838-0076 or bobbie@theoakproject.com

GENERAL DONATION

HEARTWOOD STUDIOS

We have a vision that Heartwood Studios will be an influential space and an expression of The Oak Project’s mission. Our desire is to forge lasting relationships in a safe environment, while also providing an opportunity to build confidence in those who have never been exposed to the creative process. From pottery classes and kid's art camps to yoga sessions and dance lessons, we are excited to bridge our community to the arts!

An oasis is defined as "a pleasant or peaceful area or period in the midst of a difficult, troubled, or hectic place or situation". It is our desire to provide times like these for the Oakies and the women of Maison Orphanage. Times to step out of survival mode, get relief from their stressful worlds, and to just breathe. These oasis times always cultivate beautiful friendships, laughter and space needed for hearts to rest and receive back the love they are always giving!
