For women:
Time and Voice Volunteer: This is a volunteer opportunity where we ask you to come join us in our day, ready to do anything! You would simply set up a time with us when you can come help out. You would meet us down at The Oak House and join us in whatever or whoever we may be connecting with that day. Perhaps you would take a mom to the doctor, or play with her kids while she has some God time. We may ask you to spend some time in prayer for certain people. We may ask you to help out in the office. Just come with a heart to serve…you will be blessed no doubt!
Passion meets Need Volunteer: Maybe you are passionate about exercise and would like to go on a bike ride with a mom and just get to know her. Maybe you love to prepare and decorate for teas and luncheons. Maybe you would love to do a fun cooking night and share your recipes with other ladies. Whatever your passion is, we would love to find a way to fan that gift into flame by providing a place for you to bless others with your gift!
Small Group participants: We invite ladies to join our small group communities! You may not want to lead but would love to participate. We welcome you and pray you are very blessed as you experience God’s word and enjoy community.
Small Group Leaders: If you are interested in leading a small group, please give us a call.
Mentors/Tutors: If you are interested in helping out with the kids by means of tutoring or mentoring, please let us know.
For men:
Time and Voice: The majority of kids we are ministering to have absent fathers. If you would just like to get to know one of these young men and build relationship with them, please let us know. Your time and your voice can be just the thing God uses to change a life. Simply playing basketball once a week can do wonders in the life of a child. The consistent act of showing up can lay the foundation for a dramatically different life. It’s a simple act of love that can transform his life and yours.
Teaching a Trade: If you are skilled in a trade and would like to build relationship with one of the teenagers, we ask you to please share your talent. It’s a great way to prepare these young men for the future and to develop authentic relationship.
Movers: If you have a truck and are willing to help move certain items please let us know. Many times we have the opportunity to serve a mother by helping her move, delivering a bed, etc. We would love to put you on a list of possible movers we can call on!
