***priority-do you teach swim  lessons? If so, please contact us asap as we are hoping to give swim lessons to each single mom and child before our summer retreat.

time:

Can you spend some time once a month taking a single mom to the grocery store, doctor’s appointment or to run some errands?

food:

Tuesday Night Life Group – Serve by cooking up a warm casserole or pot of soup for our small group on Tuesday nights. Maybe you can do it once…or maybe once a month!  The service of food and delivery helps us provide a worry-free atmosphere and enables the single moms to come directly after work with their children without stopping for dinner beforehand!

childcare: serve by spending time with our toddlers on Tuesday night during our life group meetings

tutor: serve by tutoring our youth once a week. Tutors are connected one-on-one for individual tutoring.

adventure saturdays: once a month we rally up the kids for a day of adventure so the single mom’s can have a day to themselves. All youth, children and volunteers will be given event tickets to explore the fun attractions and learning opportunities in our local city. Events typically run from 12-5pm.

GO GLOBAL

Our current effort in Haiti has specific volunteer needs. The highest priority is counselors.  If you are a counselor and would like to help serve the ladies in the community we are reaching out to please email us at connect@theoakproject.com  The trip will happen this July.  The exact date TBA.

we also need servants who would be willing to take over the duties of the nannies at this orphanage (cooking, cleaning, childcare) so that the nannies may be freed up to receive the ministry of counseling.

we also welcome you to help us meet physical needs drop off blow up mattresses, tents, flashlights with batteries, tarps, baby formula, and diapers for us to take to the orphanage we are serving.  We ask that you pack your donations in a suitcase that you are also willing to donate so we can simply take it with us on the flight to Haiti.
